About FundMonitor

Institutional-grade fund research, built as a working platform.

Our Approach

We publish the arithmetic, not the summary.

FundMonitor was built for a simple reason: most fund research surfaces headline returns and buries the cost structure that determines what an investor actually keeps. We invert that order — expense ratios, advisory fees and transaction drag are shown alongside every return figure, not in a footnote.

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into the fee, CAGR or allocation tools is transmitted anywhere — inputs stay on your device, and any saved mix lives only in your browser's local storage until you clear it.

Governance

The standards behind the numbers

1

Net-of-Fee First

Every return metric is presented net of the expense ratio unless explicitly labeled gross.

2

Consistent Methodology

Alpha, duration and CAGR use the same published formula across every page, with the formula shown, not hidden.

3

Data Transparency

Figures and methodology are presented with clear definitions so key assumptions remain visible.

4

Independent Coverage

FundMonitor covers US funds, allocation, and cost structure with independent analysis — no issuer placement, no sponsored rankings.

5

Client-Side Privacy

Calculator inputs and saved mixes remain on your device via local storage rather than a server.

6

Clear Reporting

Key results are presented with concise explanations of the figures and methodology used.

Research Standard

Built around disciplined fund research.

Our research desk focuses on fund structure, cost analysis and portfolio operations. That background shapes how we present cost structures: precisely, without spin, and with the underlying formula visible next to the conclusion.
